Loads of people I knew.
Music too loud.
Ears ringing dreadfully.
Get earplugs from TSG.
Feel a right Pillock.
Am I allowed to have a go at TSG for letting it get too loud?
Am I also allowed to go back to bed?

- Tour 2005: The Good, The Bad and the Percussion Section
Wind Orchestra and Brass Society went on Tour this summer, and for this tour a group of people from the music centre filmed some entertainment for the coach ride.
There were the introductory videos (to figure out who we all were) and "safety announcements" as only musicians could devise! But the main event was "Brasssoc: The Musical".
Some "hardcore" members of the music centre (mainly Owen and Andy, with help from Lu, Juicy and Stu, and the "actors") filmed a 20minute long musical. This was absolutely hilarious and was received with a resounding sucess.
There is also a CD included featuring the Colin Dean Radio Show, the Foreign Language course, and the soundtrack to Brasssoc: The Musical.
I thank everyone involved with this DVD/CD collection. A special mention must go to Andy and Owen, for all their input for the contents, and Owen for putting all the DVD/CD's together before term started. Well done!
And so the first "Skool Dayz" event of the year has passed. It was a brilliant night and I must thank all the people who made it so.
Welcome to Warwick Anna and Roisin, both of whom have just arrive from my old school, and heya again Em, who joined last September with me.
It was great to see a decent showing from the 2nd year Chemist's. Helen, George, Aruna, Simon, James (and guest), Alex (and Ai Vy), Sreeya and Paul. See you all nice and early on Monday.
And there were also some Music Centre mates there, Heather and Josie, and one of the MC graduates, Rachel. Nice to see you all again.
Also it was cool to see my mates Sister (and now my mate), Esther, after a large absence, and Kyle, who lived in the flat next door last year. Hope you both enjoyed yourselves!
So, there are my intro's, and onto the night itself.
I arrived on my own (saddo) but soon bumped into people I knew (see above) and stayed with Helen, George, Aruna and Simon for most of it, occasionally nipping away to see everyone else. The dancefloor was, as usual, packed out with hardly any space to actually dance! The drink was flowing freely (which allowed me to notice the increase in drinks prices this year!) and all were having fun.
The night was going so well, until, at around 12:15–12:30, some silly bugger set off the fire alarm, ensuring the end of the night for most people. we were kept waiting outside (in the FREEZING cold) until about 1-ish while they checked the place over for fires, and eventually returned inside to warm ourselves but with our spirits severely dampened.
Finally, just before the event closed, we left and got a Taxi home, and now to sleep.
So, overall, a good night. It was a shame some tart set the alarm off, which changed everyone's mood, but a good time was had by all.
The strangest thing was that the DJ (Ed B…) was receiving text messages from a stranger insulting him and his music choices. I wonder why? Ed and the other guy (no idea what his name is) DJ'd really well, and I don't think there was a really bad tune all night.
So, I'll guess I'll see you all at next Skool Dayz.

I went away with Brasssoc and Wind Orchestra for a week, and loved it.
It was so much fun, we got up to loads and I thoroughly enjoyed it!
It was made especially amazing by Sopie (I miss you!).
(Sod's law that we got together on the last night, and she's off to France for a year in September! ARGH!)
In total, three new Music Centre couples were formed. From rumours of previous tours, I believe 3 is less than usual, but I'm not sure.
I can't wait to see everyone again, but that is going to be difficult due to lots of them graduating, and being a (finished) first year, I can't easily get to uni for the graduation ceremonies.
So, I hope everyone enjoyed tour, and that those of you I won't see enjoy their lives, and I hope to meet up with you all one day.
Have fun, everyone! See you all soon (hopefully)!
