My Exams Are Over! :D

I finished my 3rd year exams on Friday. They’ve not been that good, tbh, but Friday’s felt like my best. We shall see when we finally get the results at the end of term 3.

Now I have one of the busiest Easter’s EVER! Thank goodness I don’t have revision on top of everything else :)

I should now have time to start blogging again! Yey! Procrastination returns!

My First Exam Looms…

I have an exam starting in just under 2 hours. And I’m absolutely bricking it.

I have (stupidly) just looked at a past paper, and have realised how little of the material for the 2 modules I’m about to be assessed on I actually know.

ARGH!!!

This is not going to go well :(

And this is followed by my audition to be a student conductor of Wind Orchestra next year!

Today is not going to be good!

Chemistry Lecturers on Sabbaticals

Just noticed all this:

Stefan Bon is away for Terms 1 & 2
Andrew Marsh is away for Term 2
Martin Wills is away for ALL YEAR!

And does anyone know what’s happening to Stuart Mackenzie? I heard some rumours at the end of last year, but don’t know what’s going on.

This could be an interesting year for all of us!

Student Rudeness

Today in one of my lectures, I was appalled to be in the same group of people as my fellow coursemates.

The lecturer was finishing off the course, and it started. The dull roar that rises as more and more people chat and whisper. Almost none of them were listening to a word he was saying. He went over the appraisal forms we filled in the lecture before, and he was almost shouting to be heard! We had given him feedback, and was the first lecturer to inform us what advice he was taking from those forms, and people couldnt even be bothered to take an interest. The way that he or any other lecturer puts across their information is surely one of the most important issues for all student's, and to give the man no respect at all was just downright mean!

I have to admit, that not everyone was being this rude, but it must at least have been half of the group. That must be a horrible atmosphere to lecture to. To know that there are some people so unwilling to listen seems ridiculous.

We are paying money to attend Uni, and when the few consistantly talk throughout everything, you get the feeling that "Why did you turn up today?". You cant be making even half-decent notes, and you definately can't be taking all the information in, so why bother? There is no such thing as a register here. Leave those of us who are willing to listen and learn alone and STAY AT HOME!

Looking to the Future – My Timetable

Writing about web page http://www.warwick.ac.uk/fac/sci/Chemistry/timetable/resource/g879.html

DAMMIT!

I've just been looking throught my timetable for the rest of the year.

It's SOOO painful.

I'm taking the Maths, Polymer and Main Groups options (for those of you who know wtf they are!) and all the lectures are at really annoying times.

It seems I will have more 9ams this year than I thought were possible!

And there seem to be many occassions where one of these options is the only lecture of the day! ARGH!!!!

So, Term 2 (second half) and term 3 (first half) are going to be evil!

Where did all the free time go and where did it go wrong?

FINISHED!

After all the panicing, I have finally finished the year.

The last exam wasn't too band in the end, just wish I could have remembered more.

Now, instead of 2 weeks of revelry, I have 2 weeks of working as a techie!

ARGH!!
