The Ukulele Orchestra of Great Britain

Writing about web page

So funny!

I remember hearing their version of "Miss Dynamitee" on Brass/Wind tour summer 2005, and that was even better!

Top Gear goes caravaning…

…and sets fire to not one but TWO caravans!

I'm scared.

End of Term Update and Wimbledon Tennis

Right. I have been insanely busy, and don't have enough time in the day. So nothing changes.

Week 9 were my last exams. All Evil. As can be seen by my results in a previous entry.
Week 10 was WSAF and Gala Concert. Lots of teching and lots of music, so good fun but very tiring.
Week 11 (Wk 1 of hols) was Brass Band camping tour to Cornwall. Stayed near Bodmin, had some fun.
Week 12 (wk 2) was starting work at my old school as a Caretaker. Not too bad work, enjoy being back, and not completely exhausting (which it definately could be).

2 days ago I played in my local Concert Band (Merton Youth Concert Band) who did their annual gig at the Wimbledon Tennis Championships. For the last few years (5 or more maybe) we have been invited to play on the second Thursday of Wimbledon. Always good fun. Play music until 1–ish, and then get a dy of watching Tennis. For free!!!

Eventually I went to the re–sale ticket queue, where you pay a fiver for tickets to Centre/No. 1 court for seats of people who have left for the day. I got my ticket just for No.1 court just after half past 4 (I had only been queuing since about quarter past.) I then watched 2 and a half mens Over–35's Doubles matches. It was so much fun. They were real entertainers and played some amazing tennis to boot!

I'll find my programme and tell you who I saw later.

Enjoy your summer everyone!
