KBAM PMA Reflection – Trust culture

After the whole year, knowledge management is not strange to us anymore. However, how to deal with people to form a sharing and trust knowledge still bothers me. Today, I read a story about how to makes people trust you, and this story is writen by a mckinsey partner.

Trust = Credibility (懂行、有料)x Reliability (可靠、说到做到)x Intimacy(亲密感)/ Self-Orientation(从自己利益考虑)

I think what we dont really always realize is the realiability and self-orientation. I was always thinking that being late or forget something is just careless. However, sometime later I found that this will give others an impression that you are not realiable, which is a awful start. After I realize this, I always try to prevent this happens. In this fast and colorful age, it is hard to remember everything, so the reliability seems even more important than before. Everything are start from reliablity, therefore I will alway try to be reliable.

Also, self-orientation. I think what I learnd in this year is not only about the knowledge, it is about life. Dont be self centerd. I was that kind of girl my firends say very self-centered. But I dont realize what is wrong with it. When I come to UK, it is harder for us to make friends and enjoy here, I start to realize how important is to care about others. Caring can show people that you care and reliable, so that people may later all come back to you. In the long-term, those who care others always have better outcomes.
