  2. What's "visual sociology" when it's at home? I'm intrigued!

I see you lived with SimonT in halls last year – very random. I swear there are about 2 degrees of separation between any two people on campus.

  3. Erm… Is that a "social science"... ?

  4. Yeah it is a social science, its a new 2nd year sociology module. Im assuming by the phrase of your question that you feel "social science" isnt all its cracked up to be, well….i realy dont care, its a great course :)
Iim not really sure why i took the pic of the air conditioning thing next to the library, basically my tutor told us to go out and take 5–10 pics in ten minutes so i just had to picture the things around me.
Visual sociology looks at the way photographs are constructed and perceived depending on the social atmosphere they live in. For example, a picture of a transexual with breasts and a penis can be construed in thousands of different ways, depending on your culture, ethniciy, sexual preference, sex etc etc. If you are really intrigued go on link Which is the international Visual Socilogy Institute.
Yeah i lived with Simon last year, I live in a house with him this year too, hes a good guy :) How do you know him? Through engineering?

  5. Hey Lydia my love. I see you had fun in your seminar- sorry for my abrupt reply this morning but you woke me up and the only thing i could manage to compose was 'B207'- but you obviously found the room so its all good.

  6. I captained the uni kart racing team last year; Simon was in the A-team for most races (and should be again this year). Best known for turning up drunk or hungover to the Piazza when we were heading off for a race at 5 in the morning!
