What do people think of the 'Warwick in Asia' idea

Writing about web page

As most of you probably know, in the last year, the university has been looking into the idea of setting up a campus in Singapore in partnership with, among others, the Singaporean Economic Development Board. On August 1st, I take over as the second student representative on the University Council, and will therefore probably have to arrive at some kind of conclusion about whether the project will be 'a good thing' or not; however, I don't know what to think of this and, as I will be on Council representing other people, I would invite opinions regarding whether the project is a good idea or not. Anyone is welcome to contribute, and so I have set this entry up so that anyone can reply, although I would especially welcome contributions from students as, at the end of the day, it is they whom I will be representing and therefore to them that I will be responsible. Some information is available via the link at the top of this entry, which is the Boar's archive of recent news regarding the Singapore proposal. I would also include a link to the university's website but can't seem to find much there at the moment. If anyone knows where I can find more information to link to, I would be very grateful if they would point it out to me.

Some information from the university with thanks to John.
