Seven lorry–loads of Easter Eggs stolen

According to the Beeb, seven lorry-loads of chocolate have been stolen in Lancashire, each containing: "about £80,000 worth of Cadbury's goods including Easter eggs." Source

Now, correct me if I'm wrong, but Easter normally occurs in March or April, not October, so what on earth were Cadbury's doing carting Easter Eggs about at this time of year?

Societies' Fayre

Partly a plug but anyway. Over the next two days, the Union is going to be heaving like a maggotty cheese left out in the Sun last august because those of us stupid enough to volunteer for society exec.s are going to be pitching memberships to anyone within a fifty-metre radius (in between attending what promise to be rivetting sessions of 'Impact training'). I'd urge everyone either to stop by or to look at the 'Societies' tab on the Union web portal ( where you can also buy memberships from the comfort of your own room or one of the University's shiny new PCs in the Open Access area near the Library and without having to pick your way through a frenzied crowd 75% of which will be selling memberships and 25% trying to find a way not to buy them without causing offense. Also, if you were a member of any societies last year and want to continue this year, you'll have to rejoin. Anyway, that's all I'm going to do to with my proselytising for now.
