Erm…so yeah. Thought it was cool then read a little more into it. Now I think she’s a little crazy. In a nice way like. Argh I keep saying like at the end of sentences! Pick up things so easily these days.

Synthetic sky unzips.
Naked curve of beauty
Adorned with dew;
Icy chill bites my cheek
And all is still.

This web site opens doors to the new bodies of thought, time-tested spiritual practices, and pioneering group methods, that I find to be powerful inspirations to understanding and action. The Government propose to introduce road pricing, which will be centered on a tracking device that not only comes with a monthly charge but it will also mean the device’s whereabouts are known at all times, through GPS tracking.
Estimated cost for the device will be between £150 and £200 and according to a BBC study; the lowest monthly bill was £28 for a rural florist and A full-time mother who used the car to take her kids to school paid £86 in one month.
This tax is not going to reduce the atmosphere problems or cut congestion, people still need their cars and will use them. Plus they will know exactly where everybody is and how fast you got there!
If you want to save your freedom please sign the petition on the link http://petitions.pm.gov.uk/traveltax/ you just need to add your name and email address to sign up. DEADLINE IS 20 FEBRUARY.

I expect some of you will have seen the Dove evolution video, but for those of you who haven’t its basically a speeded up video of a face with no makeup to a finished billboard poster, and all the stages in between (see clip).
But what is it that makes this girl beautiful? I admire her bravery at showing her bare face to the world, compared to her image with makeup and photoshop edits. The photoshop section really suprised me the first time I saw it – I never thought people would go so far as to manipulate things like eye size or neck width.
But what is beauty these days? Is it the artificial but immensely attractive photoshop image, deliberately manipulating our senses and distorting our perception? Is it the ‘make up’ face, an intermediate between deception and truth? I wish I could believe that the ‘bare face’ is the most beautiful, but it clearly isn’t. Or at least, aesthetically it isn’t. Conceptually her bravery and self esteem make her beautiful.
But what use are concepts against the hard wired biological mechanisms of our minds? No wonder so many people are messed up. I hate advertising.

You know, I sometimes get the impression that Saddam Hussein was basically a bit of a scapegoat for Osama Bin Laden…think about it…After the twin towers incident, everyone wanted someone to blame…this ended up as Bin Laden. But the government couldn’t find Bin Laden. They looked ineffectual. SO, they find a new person to blame…mmm, Saddam Hussein! “Two birds with one stone! We find his ‘Weapons of Mass Destruction’ (which they never did find) to associate him with terrorism, then we have him killed off. Not to mention how noble we look for killing off an evil dictator and bringing new hope to an oppressed people.”
Just one thing…Husseins regime had been well known about for years. Hussein and his pals did various nasty things to various different countries and just so long as it didn’t affect America (or actually benefited them), they were quite happy to look the other way, even supplying the weapons so the middle east could blow itself to bits (at least I suspect that may have been the plan). Not to mention the lovely oil reserves that both Britain and America may well have had their eye on for some time…
We haven’t exactly helped the Iraqis very much, at least up till now…bombing them a bit, civil unrest, no running water, no electricity, people and cars exploding all over the place…
I suppose now, with Saddam dead, we are supposed to be forgetting all about those awkward little incidents.
I’m not saying I ever agreed with Husseins regime. But I think our pals Bush and Blair interfered for reasons that were far less noble than they would like to make out.
