Library Remodelling – Floor 2 extension

The 2nd Floor extension in the Library building is now fully open to the public and all the Science print material has been transferred across.

This extension floor now contains 2 separate silent study rooms that are fully enclosed with air management systems to ensure a peaceful and comfortable study environment.  It also houses 3 stacks of mobile shelving containing all the Library's microfilm, the Science journals and the Science oversize books.

There are some images of the floor in the Floor 2 Extension Gallery.

Library Remodelling – Change to Floor 3 Arts collection

The Arts books located on Floor 3 with the clasmark DC-GV will be temporarily moved to Floor 5, starting on Wednesday 18 July.  This is to enable work to be carried out on Floor 3, we will aim to return the books by the start of term.

There will be signs on Floor 3 to indicate that the books have been temporarily located on the left hand side of Floor 5 as you exit the staff lift or stair well.

If you do experience any problems locating stock then please go to the Service desk on Floor 3 and they will be able to help you.

For more information on the Remodelling program please visit the Library webpages.
