Library Remodelling – Floor 2 extension

The 2nd Floor extension in the Library building is now fully open to the public and all the Science print material has been transferred across.

This extension floor now contains 2 separate silent study rooms that are fully enclosed with air management systems to ensure a peaceful and comfortable study environment.  It also houses 3 stacks of mobile shelving containing all the Library's microfilm, the Science journals and the Science oversize books.

There are some images of the floor in the Floor 2 Extension Gallery.

Floor 2 – Science Books

The Science books will be moved this week from Floor 2 of the main Library building across to the Remodelled Floor 2 Library extension.  We will start with classmark Q-QA78 and will operate a fetch and carry service to the books during the move.  If you need a particular science book then please go to the Service Desk on Floor 3 and the staff there will help you.

Acess to Floor 2 extension will be availble from the beginning of next week, 17 September.

Library Opening Hours – Saturday 8 September

We have been advised by the contractors that an important phase of the Remodelling projectwill be extremely noisy and a very difficult environment for anyone to work in comfortably.  After careful consideration it has been decided that the Library will be closed on Saturday 8 September until 5pm.

We apologise for the inconvenience this may cause but do advise you to plan your visits to the Library by checking the Library website for up-to-date information www.go.warwick.ac.uk/lib-remodel

If you have any particular problems regarding this closure then please do email libremodel@warwick.ac.uk

Severe Noise Disruption in the Library this week

There will be severe noise disruption in the Library this week because the contractors are currently drilling in the central stairwell to complete a major phase of the Remodelling Project.

We apologise for the inconvenience that this will cause but we do have disposable ear plugs available or a small supply of ear defenders that can be borrowed.  Please ask at the Floor 3 Service Desk.
