Dan Perjovschi – visiting artist

The Library was lucky enough to be visited by Dan Perjovschi over the weekend and he's left his mark on the North Stairwell.

He's used the subject areas and collections that can be found on Floors 3, 4 and 5 of the Library to create his images.

The more you walk past them the more thought provoking they become...

I’m sorry, but they look like something you’d find on the door of Grumpy Johns’ toilets. If you want minimalist art, get Edward Monkton in, at least his drawings are funny. These are badly drawn, ugly, and with facile messages. When are they being painted over?

  2. Oh my god, i actually thought this was a joke until i realized the pictures are real. Please tell me we did not pay for this? Your telling me this Banksy wannabe used subject areas and collections to create his images? I say he created them while sitting on the toilet in some old mans working club and has been searching for somewhere to dump them ever since. They are amateurish and look very similar to the purple Ronnie images used on birthday cards for the last ten years. I am sorry but I hope they are painted over quickly too

  3. I like them, makes me think a little more.
    Cheers Dan Perjovschi!

Like many others, I thought this was a joke. I had no idea an “artist” was coming to the library. I have to say I don’t like them, IMHO it makes the library look untidy.
