Places are available for this session, taking place in the Teaching Grid from 11am to 1pm on Thursday, April 23rd.
As part of a third year module on theatre historiography during 2008-9 Warwick theatre and performance students were invited to participate in a pilot project with Northwestern University, using the on-line Broadview Anthology of Nineteenth-Century British Performance compiled by Professor Tracy C. Davis. This confronted the students with raw materials rather than edited texts and with both literary and non-literary performance forms and placed upon them the onus to make editorial decisions and gather contextual materials.
On 23 April 2009 Professor Tracy Davis will be visiting Warwick and will talk about the aims and objectives of her project. Students will also present work undertaken on the module, which was convened by Professor Jim Davis (University of Warwick).
For more information about this session, please contact Professor Jim Davis.
