Google Book previews now available via the Library catalogue

Writing about web page http://webcat.warwick.ac.uk/record=b2226307~S1

The Library Catalogue now provides a preview button for those titles that can be previewed in Google Books. Depending on copyright restrictions, you may only be able to see a few pages, but for older books no longer subject to copyright, you may be able to view the entire book online.

Only some books have the Google Preview button (see left). There is also a search option inside Google Books to search inside the book for specific words, so you can find an exact quote, a chpater on a certain topic, or the sp[ecific pages which mention your area of interest. Again, this is subject to whatever copyright restrictions are in place for that title.

An example of a book with the Google Preview button is  Cultural encounters between East and West, 1453-1699by Matthew Birchwood and Matthew Dimmock.
