Writing about web page http://www.biomedcentral.com/1472-6920/4/23
I was pleased to read the review by Coderre et al. BMC Medical Education 2004 4:23 doi:10.1186/1472-6920-4-23.
Its admirable that they publish under a CC licence, which means I can help to explain the key aspects of some of their work, namely diagnostic reasoning namely
This might seem pretty obvious, but they can all be useful. House (the famous TV Doc) uses good examples of all 3. Ruling in and out diagnoses based on facts, recognising patterns, and applying his detailed knowledge of disease across different specialities to solve difficult issues.
Schemes are when clinicians break different problems down into manageable chunks. Corderre viewed this as follows in the diagram below (original at http://www.biomedcentral.com/1472-6920/4/23).

Writing about web page http://www.medicaleducator.co.uk/index.php
Well, we've just updated our website to integrate the blog into the main pages... unfortunately it seems to have obliterated our domains Pagerank info which is a bit of a disaster! Oh well, back to the drawing board from that side!
Looks like we're going to have to work harder....
If anyone wants to give us a bit of feedback about what they think about the site design, feel free to drop a comment!

Writing about web page http://medicaleducator.co.uk/
Welcome to my Warwick Blog. Its essentaily a sounding board for some educational developments.
Over the past 4 months Ive been involved in development of a medical education website:
- Video content
- Downloadable PDF one minute revision guides
- Audio Files
- >1000 questions on different topics
- 20 different subject areas
- Blog content
Id be interested to hear peoples comments on the site and what we're trying to achieve. We're looking to deliver the best content for student exam revision.
