Advice

I've decided to go MP3 rather than sticking with my CDs. So now i have to decide on an MP3 player. I know what i want and what i don't want and i've narrowed it down to the iPod 30GB with video playback, probably in white OR the Creative ZEN Vision:M 30GB in either black or light blue. So people, which do i want????

Robin

Hello, this is a blog post about Robin. He is here and is wearing a black and white stripey top like a mint humbug. He has just put a growling tiger on my head. And he's mocking me.

But

He is quite nice really. Sometimes. Its good to see him. And now he had to be nice to me cos i'm saying nice things about him.

Penultimate day

In the day before my last two exams, i'm feeling the need to post another calming picture. This one is unashamedly motivational as well and is in many ways directed at my lovely housemate Em.
Enjoy

Eurovision

Writing about web page http://www.webtender.com/handbook/games/eurovision-song-contest.game

I hope everyone will be watching Eurovision!! We've got a fab evening planned with wine, chocolate muffins and a drinking game! Phil found it for us and its brilliant. In fact, its so good i'm going to share it with you now. The rules are as follows:

Watch the Eurovision Song Contest on TV or video. New in 2006 is that the show is available on webcast from the Eurovision web site.

Have one sip of your drink per successfully met condition:

Hosts
Sing
Speak in rhyme
Gaze into each others eyes — drain glass if they pash

Singers/Backup Singers
Wink at camera
Drop to their knees
Make a peace sign
Sing in language other than English or native tongue (ie. Ukrainian sings Hasta La Vista)
Wear a hat – drain glass if wearing horns
Flick their hair – drain glass if bald
Have a moustache – drain glass if female with moustache
Show décolletage – drain glass if wearing a codpiece
Rapping – drain glass!

Dancers/Musicians
Mime heavy guitar solo
Play an 'ethnic' instrument
Play piano while standing
'Ethnic' dancing – drain glass if Hip Hop dancing
Pretend to fight – drain glass if martial arts
Contortionist – drain glass!

General
Helicopter shots
Sped up or slowed down film
Any costume change
Any key change
Use of props (i.e. candles, ribbons, dummies)
Use of fireworks – drain glass if singer catches fire
UK gets no points – drain glass if UK catches fire
Your country wins – drain glass!
(The game was created by and is copyright © Kim Beissel 2003)

And there you have it! Very exciting.

Also, recently i have joined Skype. Its still all new and shiny and the novelty definitely hasn't worn off yet! :–D I appreciate this is not too exciting for most people, but its been occupying me for the last few days so i felt that i should share it with the world.

Hope you enjoy Eurovision!

Fascism

So fascism went ok. Had lots to say, albeit not quite enough time to fit it all in. Half way through exams now! Yay.

And yet another happy photo, this time a really happy and sunny flower. Enjoy!

I'm trying

In a bid to try to keep up with the blog posts, i'm going to put another lovely photo up. This one is of a daisy, which as i'd hope you all know, is my favourite type of flower.

Enjoy.

Really really lacking

ok ok so i've not blogged for ages and ages and ages and even my mother has noticed! So here's a blog. Just to fill you in since i last blogged….

I got all my assessed essays in, on time and within word limit.

Since then i've been out several times, had Tom up to visit, done sunbathing.

Oh, and also revision. Today was my first exam and it went ok. I got the exact questions that i wanted which was nice, although i'm not sure my answers were too hot (for which i have only myself to blame). I probably should/could have done more revision. Oh well, one down, next one on wednesday.

I'll try to get back into blogging after exams, but to be honest, i've been revising at the dining room table and i've not actually sat at my computer for ages!

Oh to all those doing Fascism; Sam and i went to see Peter Burnham (head of department) and he was lovely. He has said that our papers will be marked 'sympathetically' bearing in mind the disruption etc. We left feeling much reassured on that count. Bit stressed about the lack of marking full stop though. Oh well, can't do anything about it so i'm trying not to worry about it.

In continuing with my not worrying about anything theme… here's a happy, relaxing picture to calm everyone down.

Fluffy clouds
