Bonnett Catering Corps.

For those of you who haven't heard of the Bonnett Catering Corps., it is a small family run, non-profit organisation that cooks lunch in Knighton Parish Centre for between 60–80 people every so often.

To mark the departure of the curate and for the AGM, Dad, Mum and I have just prepared, bought, cooked, served and cleared chicken caserole and bread and butter pudding for 70 people. Needless to say, I am now quite tired!!

The three of us make a good unit really – Dad is the brains behind the operation and comes up with the menus and the portion sizes and hence the shopping list. Mum and I are the do-ers. We go shopping for 14 pints of milk, 15kg carrots…. and do all the preparation. On the day, Dad does the cooking while Mum serves and I wash up. Just for people who don't do washing up very often, plates, cutlery, serving dishes and saucepans for 70 people, takes 1 person 2 hours to wash, and a further hour to dry and put away!!!

So, if ever you fancy having private caters in for an event you are holding, look no further!!!
