A dedication to our lovely fish

I'm so very sad whilst writing this entry, as our 3rd fish out of 4 has just passed away tonight. But i think there is something wrong as we have done everything the pet shop said and yet 3 of our fish have died within 2 weeks. Now i'm no fish expert but i was sure that goldfish were fresh water fish yet the pet shop told us to put salt in the water as the water here is too hard for them. But i come from Kent and the level of chalk in our water is extremely high and when i had goldfish at home i was never told to add salt to the water, and they lived happily for years.

But, our 3 fish have died and i would like to say Rest In Peace to Hook, Stud and Jaws and wish them all the best in fishy heaven.

I miss them terribly! But at least we still have Bruno, LONG LIVE BRUNO!!!!!

  1. feeling your pain. my fish always died within weeks even though i always did what should be done. well, considering the last two the choice of names may not have been too fortunate: "die" and "hard" (which in german translates to "die slowly" and in fact "slowly" was the last one to die….

  4. Laughter is best at a time like this so here is a topical joke:

Little Tom was in the garden filling in a hole when his neighbor peered over the fence. Interested in what Tom was up to, he politely asked, "What are you doing?"
"My goldfish died," replied the boy tearfully, without looking up. "And I've just buried him."

The neighbor was concerned. "That's an awfully big hole for a goldfish, isn't it?" Tom patted down the last heap of earth then replied, "That's because he's inside your cat."

Our fish have gone to a far far better place, and Bruno seems happy at having the tank to himself.

  6. I'm pretty sure bruno is actually blind, he always swims into things, he just doesn't know the other fish are gone, cos he can't see them… but he's STILL ALIVE!!
