Standing up for blogs

Writing about Speaker's Corner from Shared Psychosis

Samuel wrote a little bit cynically and I think with a touch of tongue-in-cheek about the quality of blogs.

I have to agree that there are in deed a lot of not very good blogs out there that are not of any interest to anyone but the writer and perhaps their cat/dog/family. However, I think especially in an educational environment, blogs could be hugely valuable.

Just imagine once we have 100's of bloggers writing about their experiences at Warwick. I hope the publication of vast quantities of student/staff knowledge on the web will really help in people's understanding of their subjects. Hearing opinions and ideas from people throughout the university will really open new avenues of thought.

More to come when I get more time….....
