More kitchen work
Follow-up to Kitchen renovation has begun! from Kieran's blog
Another night of kitchen work. Tonight more wall tiles came off and the horrible polystyrene ceiling tiles came off too. We also got the wall units and extractor off from the left hand wall.

Hi Bizar comment I know, But my husband and I have just purchased a house with all of the rooms covered in polystyrene ceiling tiles. Found your sight when I did a search to work out how to get rid of them. Were they hard to get off? Seems to me that the glue afterwards is more of a problem am I right?

Yeah, the tiles are not too bad to get off with a scraper of some kind. We had to stand up on step ladders and use an electric sander on the ceiling :(
The alternative is to replaster the ceiling which is obviously a bigger job.
