Flickr colour picker

Clever, clever stuff.

Jim Bumgardner has created a Flash app that lets you find photos from Flickr based on the primary colour in that photo.

    Chris and I looked at this earlier today. I wonder how it's done? It can't possibly be looking at all the images in Flickr and sampling them to see if they're mostly red; there must be some colour metadata that can be queried. I wonder what and where it is?

  2. Hmm… looking at the packets the animation is sending, he's just hard-coded the names of the files into it. Still, quite impressive.
