Bill Bailey at Warwick

Writing about web page

Saw the West Country troll himself, Bill Bailey, last night at the Warwick Arts Centre. In front of a packed Butterworth Hall, he spent about 2 hours on stage entertaining us with his bizarre mix of comedy and music. The only change we had to stop laughing was at the interval.

He covered everything from drugs to giant chocolate bars, from quiche to LOTR. The highlight for me was the absolutely brilliant "Drum and Bush" performance. He managed to merge some very tounge in cheek heavy drum and bass tunes with samples of good old George W. His mixture of comedy and music really is unique (from anything I've seen anyway) and well worth seeing if you are lucky enough to find a ticket for any of his other shows.

And I'll never look at Argos the same again.
