I do not have any final plans as I believe these should be decided upon by the entire Democracy Committee but I am thinking of really pushing the publicity and also actually talking to people rather than just flyering etc. Flyering does have its place but I can give you the perfect example of why I have set myself just this one task. Last night was the AGM and very few people turned up (I don’t know exact numbers but I know it was inquorate for the entire duration of the meeting). I could use ideas such as explaining how the AGM/referenda/etc are relevant. Inquorate meetings/referenda really frustrate me and this is why I want to be able to make a positive difference to Union democracy and get more people involved.
