Wishbone Ash

Just got back from seeing Wishbone Ash in Birkenhead and they were absolutely AWESOME! Really great gig - lots of brilliant material played from their classic Argus album. Possibly one of my favourite gigs ever!

Also managed to get my ticket signed by frontman Andy Powell!

An excellent band to see live, and one I would definately be interested in going to see again.

Halfway through already?!

Already halfway through the Easter holiday! Woah!

Just got back from the Lake District - been staying in the Langdale Valley, and did a number of the peaks around that area. A good break!

Hasn't been as easy to follow the news while I've been away, but it now appears that Zimbabwe will finally have a chance at disposing of Mugabe after 28 years... a very important news story... and also quite promising! I've been interested in following Zimbabwe's progress, particularly in the last year or so with the massive economic problems it has faced, so this recent election has been very significant...

Awesome Fish gig last night. Right at the front. Loads of great Marillion songs played. Brilliant!

Something Fishy…

Not much news since my last post, although tonight I'm going to Crewe to see Fish live, i.e. previous lead singer of Marillion. Should be awesome!

A few other nearby gigs I might go to this holiday include Wishbone Ash and Jan Akkerman (of Focus). A pretty good few weeks of live music!

Really ought to be using this holiday time more productively though. Not looking forward to these Politics exams next term...

Also, I need to attend to Swahili-learning and band-song-writing. :-D

First EVER blog entry

Hello!

Finally got round to doing something I've occasionally considered but never actually (until now) gone ahead with - starting my own blog! Exciting stuff eh... Not entirely sure why. Partly out of boredom, but perhaps partly because I think if I keep a regularly updated blog it might make interesting and amusing reading many years down the line. Who knows...

Well, it's currently about half-3 in the morning. Not uncommon for me to be up at this time... In the few hours of this day so far I've made the awesome discovery that Yes-guitarist Steve Howe will be playing at Warwick Uni in June - desperately want to go and see him live!

Other than that there isn't a great deal of news to put here at the moment - just got back from Warwick the other day for the start of my 5 week holiday back in Chester.

Hopefully more blogging coming soon! Kwa heri! (starting to learn Swahili - more on this later!)
