Mindsets: Persistence or Perseverance?

My supervisor and I recently started a 'discussion' on "Dweck's Mindets theory promotes persistence and not perseverance". What are your thoughts?

Mathematical resilience

I recently read in a twitter post that teachers can help students overcome the notion that making mistakes (in general) but mathematics in particular is not failure by making mistakes themselves. What are your thoughts on this?
