    Either:

    • Stories are the expression of archetypal forms deeply embedded within the collective unconscious of mankind;
    • Almost everything published today has been processed by a Hollywood committee to ensure conformity in characterisation and plot, such that it neither offends nor confuses even the most distracted of audiences.

    Which one do you believe in?
