Orbino iPod cases

Writing about web page http://www.orbino.com/store/index.php?cPath=77

One of the well-known snags with iPods is that they scratch if you so much as put them in the same room as anything which isn't made of cashmere. So assuming you'd like to keep your shiny new toy in a reasonable state, some sort of case is a necessity. But where are the cases which are as good-looking and well-designed as the iPod itself? Here:-

Reminds me of a cowboy's boot, and although I love the clickwheel window, there's no access to the dock connector. I like the softer-looking leather cases by Vaja, but I'm not spending that on a case.

there's no access to the dock connector

The image certainly looks that way, but the web site says explicitly "The case has a cut out at the bottom which allows you to use the standard dock connector".

And although I thought this was the colour that illustrated the design best, there are other, less wild west colours – I reckon a black case for a black iPod Nano would be the business.

    Ahh, ok. :-)

After trying out a few cases, including silicon ones (rubbish if you use a dock; you have to wrestle with the case everytime to fold it out of the way), I bought a set of perspex cases for my Nano from Speck; they don't add too much to the depth and the clear one means you can still see the lovely gloss white. I've noticed that between the 5G iPod and the Nano, the latter is much more prone to scratches – it appears to be made of the softest plastic ever invented.

    Hey!
I found this website who do a cool ipod case, its aluminium and ultra protective – especially if ur clumsy like me!!!!!!!!!!
Its also real leather (mmm) and has a belt clip which I find useful so I dont lose it in my handbag or from my pocket when Im at the gym!!
Personally I think it looks a lot better than the 1 above where the stitching is huge!! Also hardly ne1 has 1 like this coz they dont know about the site!!! yayayay! uniqueness!!!
Widget UK also have a well cheap ipod docking station, which is perfect for the summer (as you can tell I just had a mass spending spree!!) but its only £20 which is perfect, means can take it to all uni parties and if it gets broken its not the end of the world!!!
