On the beach

I'm really enjoying the photos posted by Gemma and Nathan and Nick and having just got back from a week down at the beach, I thought I'd have a go too.

Camera: Casio Exilim Z750
Date: 14th Feb 2006
Location: Highcliffe Beach, new Milton
Shutter: 1/120s
Aperture: F/3.6

Comments: Bizarrely unlike what I actually saw, since it was about midday and a sunny blue sky, but pleasing anyway.
Post-processing: None.

  1. Snap! I've just posted my first photo too – and it's a beach one. Don't forget to clean all the salt spray off your lens! I highly recommend a lenspen.

Nice photo… the light levels have turned it into a near-monochrome, with lots of texture on the water. The light levels also help explain the sky looking much less blue than you remember – and the sky is always bluest 90 degrees around from the sun, i.e. due east and due west if the sun is due south.

The Z750's a nice camera – I almost got the 6 MP predecessor.
