Highs and lows

I don’t think you understand quite how hard I tried to get the word ebb into the blog title, but I just couldn’t find a good enough antonym. Argh.

Well I am on flood watch this week, because of the autumn equinox later in the month; the tides are peaking this week, getting above 5 metres, which means that the town may flood should the weather become inclement. This being England, it’s highly possible. Anyway, the reason this is significant is because I am in charge of sandbags at the bookshop while Vernon is away. Fun. I don’t think it’ll be an issue, as the weather looks quite calm over the next week, so weekend plans should not be compromised – and anyway, I can send my mother.
