September
That’s what it is.
Troë apparently feels slightly hurt that I put the dodgy photo of Adam that she took onto my blog, so in a effort to move it off the front page, I am blogging (aren’t I kind)!
Well, having spent most of last weekend wanting my insides on the outside whenever I woke up, culminating on Tuesday, I decided to go to the doctor (Genius)! Anyway, it turns out that a) I wasn’t allergic to Adam and/or Troë after all (which unfortunately means I might have to see them again – see end of blog), b) I am not pregnant (which upset me slightly as I had gone to the trouble of selecting baby names, and attempted to track down the father,) but it was in fact c) Stress. Yes, lovely stress. It would appear that the unemployment status that I currently have means that have been worrying myself sick. Fantastic.
Here is a photo of a random packet of faggots (especially for Adam)!
Anyway, I have been applying like billy-o to jobs that I can find and that I think are suitable. I am starting to also think long and hard about options previously tossed to one side, such as teaching. Like I said, I am still thinking…. Any way,, I have applied for a couple of simple accounting type jobs, and some admin stuff. I’ve joined a few recruitment agencies along the way as well, so hopefully I should get something soon!
Moving on, a word of warning – if you want something fast, don’t order it from WHSmtih! The fiasco of getting Clare’s birthday present! Last Tuesday evening, I ordered a magazine subscription from WHSmith online, to be delivered to the Teignmouth store (I’m a cheap skate). ‘Fine’ you would think, but no. Having been dispatched from their depot last Thursday afternoon, it has taken a week and a day for it to be available for collection, which quite frankly in unacceptable. If it was dispatched from the depot last Thursday, I would expect to collect it last Friday or Saturday – which was why I ordered it online in the first place! Stupid me – needless to say I shan’t be using their ordering services again, and Clare wouldn’t have received cut up kitchen roll tube, an elastic band, and an IOU for her birthday!
And finally…(especially for those who read Adam and Troë’s blog)...my not so large half a duplex!
And lastly, although by no means leastly, Troë invited me up to sunny Bournemouth next weekend if I don’t have a job or anything which is cool. They even have four of eveything so they don’t have to buy a third mug specially – lovely.
