The DeluXe Factor

Tim Deluxe is the MAN. Official.

He may have hair like Justin from The Darkness, a goatee that looks like some kind of growth, and be just about as un-DJ-like as you might think, but the man is gold. For God's sake people, GO TO VAPOUR!!!! It rocks, it thumps, and it's awesome.

It was also my final podium dancing session until I come back from France – couldn't have picked a better way to end. Got to shake the hand of the Deluxe man himself :o) Podium dancing is officially the best thing ever. You get to dance like an absolute maniac in front of 100s of people, you get to meet awesome DJs, and you get groupies who buy water for you cos the union are too tight to provide it for free!!! Although the Japanese guys who wanted their photo taken with me were slightly scary…yes, podium dancing is the best ego boost ever.

Talking (vaguely) of France. Everyone else on my course knows where they're going, but no me. Oh no, thanks to the shit post in yorkshire, I have to wait til tomorrow. I'm a little on edge, so no sudden movements please.

Tim Deluxe was great which is more than can be said for Paul Jackson who was a little disappointing. I have to say you podium dancers were pretty good, its a pity you didn't get paid for it since you all looked so fatigued by the end of the set. I must congratulate you though:)

  2. Ta ever so! Ah who cares about money when you're having such a good time you're head might blow off. Was disappointed not to get free water though – the Q for the bar was so massive that I wasted about £6 in the £2 coin-eating, change-eating Evian machine!

A few people have said they thought Jackson was a bit off the mark but I actually thought he was pretty good, certainly got a few more people on the dancefloor – I have to say I was slightly alarmed to be dancing to an empty floor at one point! He got everyone well in the mood for Deluxe as well, I'm sure you're aware the atmosphere was pretty bouncing by the time he came one :)
