Jeff Pang is an undergraduate student at the University of Warwick, currently reading a Masters in Civil Engineering MEng. His interests lie mainly in the Structural Dynamics and Seismic Design of Buildings. Past works include investigating the design of supplementary damping in mid-high rise Steel Moment-Frame buildings in areas of high seismic hazards and have successfully completed a research placement at the Resilient Structures Lab at the School of Engineering as well as an external placement at Ove Arup & Partner’s Advanced Technology + Research Group.

This blog will revolve around the main theme of our built environment’s resilience to natural hazards, in particular Earthquakes, the big challenges that face the today’s Design Engineers, and what our responsibilities are in order to build a better world.
