Are you knuckling down for revision etc? Well actually I don't really care. Rather I mention it because I just found out the expression comes from the game of marbles. In the game of marbles the knuckle has to be placed on the ground whilst playing and as it's such an important rule the expression knuckle down has become synonymous with applying yourself to something diligently.
I love little bits of rubbish trivia like that…I don't care if you do or not.

I hope not…look at this picture…
Notice the blue rover which is stopped near the middle of the junction inside the yellow box…why has it stopped there? I initially assumed that it had broken down and the police had come to help out or something. However, the car didn't have it's hazards on (which might not be that strange) but there were two beefy police officers and then the beefy driver who were just standing next to it…if it had just broken down why didn't they just push it out of the way?
Also if you notice where the police car is…kinda next to TJ's – see it? Good. Well it was causing bloody mayhem being there so they weren't helping in the slightest.
Come on someone; explain this to me.
It was from aaaaages ago obviously but still it needed to be done

Writing about web page http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england/london/4899830.stmGuy lives in a house made of cow-poo and straw…it's going to collapse any day now…I've tried to tell him that they should run screaming from the house but he won't listen.
I love this weather guy as does the lovely lady whose blog talked about him aaaages ago.
Today he said that if you went down to the pond it was the kind of day that you'd see smiles on the duck's faces!!! I wish I lived in his world. Oooooo and the weather camera that he used was of Coventry but he pronounced it Curventry so that's how I'm going to pronounce it from now on.
We went to Warwick yesterday because my housemate Guy came back and we wanted to get Domino's pizza. We used to go to the one in Coventry until we realised that we'd been fools for all this time as there is one much closer in Warwick.
I had no idea that Warwick was sooo close to Leam! That probably sounds silly but fuck you!! It was turning into a lovely day and Warwick is always lovely especially in the sun….so I took some pictures as we got slightly lost looking for Domino's…here are some of the good ones…
Guy obviously loves the smell of his finger…a little too much
The Domino's was of course delicious…we were filled both physically and spiritually.
Remember me telling you that my parents got broadband at home? Well I did…how rude of you not to remember. Anywhooo I tried to talk them through it over the phone and I tried to connect to my home computer remotely etc but to little progress and lots of frustration. Essentially I'm an obsessive compulsive and nowhere more so than in the area of computers. I need computers to be completely perfect and tidy and organised etc etc etc and I couldn't stand the idea of my home computer being messy with icons etc all over the place.
So on Saturday I decided I would drive back up to Gateshead and sort it out and come back on the Sunday. Apparently it was snowing when I was on the phone to my mam telling her and it got worse from there. I never saw any of it; in fact I had lovely sunshine all the way up. However, I did see it on Look North in the evening and it was mighty impressive. Anywhooo got it all sorted and also picked up my easter stuff as I wouldn't be home for it and neither would be my parents who are off to Jersey or somewhere. That's where the orange flavoured Turkish delight comes into it incidentally! I got it from my god mother. I still haven't had any but I'm sure it's lovely. I like Turkish delight…someone told me they thought it tasted like eating cushions recently…hmmm.
Coming back down on the Sunday it was lovely when I left Gateshead and stayed that way until some distance into County Durham when all of a sudden it was a blizzard all the way down to junction 18 where I came off. It was a pretty stop and start journey due to the snow and rain etc. At one point I realised that I couldn't see a bloody thing in front of me which was rather scary. What made it worse was that all of a sudden out of the gloom appeared this car…driving without any lights on! I couldn't believe it! In addition to this do you know those big motorway signs that tell you things like 'Caution – Queue ahead' when you're already sitting in stationary traffic? Well they were very helpfulling telling us 'Spray – Slow down' this when I could barely see the white lines never mind anything else. Whenever we passed one of these signs though all of a sudden the traffic would slow down and bunch up until a little while later when everyone forgot the message and speeded up again.
Now a motorway's a motorway but when I got off the motorway and started driving through some of the little villages etc on the way to Leam the snow had made them all very pretty indeed…not that they're not pretty without the snow. At a number of points I wanted to take pictures but due to either having cars behind me or having no good place to stop I missed out. However, there was one opportunity…so for your delights I took this you lucky people…
I noticed that the national news didn't cover any of the snow (or at least not that I saw) until they had 6 inches in the south which all of a sudden made the bulletins…hmmmm.
Oooo does anyone want any Orange flavoured Turkish delight?
