Pardon me?

Writing about web page

I'm just in the grid reading some articles from BBC News Online…

I came across this article and was shocked to see the quote from James Ball, president of Gas Strategies Consulting:

"Not just Centrica but all of the gas retailers in this country have been charging their customers way less than they have been buying the gas for all this winter."

Pardon me? 'Way less'? What kind of language is this to use when talking to the BBC? The Queen might be reading this!

I expect more from the President of Gas Strategies Consulting. I feel he has personally let me down and I would like to see a vote of no confidence held as soon as possible.

Whilst I'm here…

…I'll also put on the pictures I took from the WTV Big Decision set.

Actually this picture was taken before the Big Decision but still I thought I'd put it in….cos Neil looks silly.

This isn't the set either…it's a picture of Tescos in Cannon Park. We went there to buy a kettle to make tea whilst the chaps set up the set. It reminded me of shopping in the not too distant future so I thought I'd take a picture. The Tesco in Gateshead used to look like this about 20 years ago!

Let's face would have been rude not to take the picture.

…and again! It would have rude not to go in for a close up. I'm just making a record of our WTV chaps hard at work..honest!

A little out of date…

Incidentally as I start to write this entry 'Texas – Say what you want' is playing…just so you know.

I was walking through Leamington during the Xmas period (so this is why it's a little out of date) and it was sooooo lovely. Leamington was a very nice place to be around the festive season.

I took some pictures and I almost forgot to put them on here. So here goes…

And yes I'm aware that the photos are rather poor quality but I wasn't expecting to be taking photos so I just had to use my phone camera on night mode. Incidentally the music changed from Texas to 'Maroon 5 – Not coming home'.

I wasn't walking with anyone at the time I don't think but if I had been I would have gone awwwww.

…I had the questionable egg wrap and a packet of salt and vinegar crisps followed by a delicious chocolate bar. I'm feeling pretty good about my decision.

Oooo and more on the chocolate bar later…

I've just woken up (well kinda) ooo and just as I start to type this media player has randomly chosen 'Lady in red'! I love it!

Anywho, what's reeeally annoying me is that I'm hungry but it's a strange type of hunger as my stomach was a little naughty in bed last night – I don't know why. It might be because I ate sooooo much junk yesterday but still.

So now I'm sitting here trying to work out whether I can be bothered (and have time) to make something or whether I should just eat a rather questionable egg wrap which I bought in Sainsbury's yesterday. It was reduced cos it had to be eaten yesterday. The other one I bought and ate was deeelicious I can assure you.

However, I might have a bacon sandwich and a cup of tea. That would be nice wouldn't it? But we only have tomato ketchup and I'd really prefer brown sauce but it still would be nice.

Although I don't know why it is but I've never really enjoyed a bacon sandwich away at uni. The only bacon sandwiches I enjoy have been ones I've made at home in Gateshead. Odd no? However, Mike did make a smashing bacon sandwich in the first year which I remember to this day.

On a related note Michael Portillo was in the Arts Center last night for the opening of Thatcher the musical! I love Portillo! Well actually I don't but now he's turned into cuddily Portillo I'd like to meet him.

I have to be at the Union at about 4. Hmmm what to do. I'll keep you posted.
