Degree maths

I've just come out of Algebraic Curves. We've now supposedly had 3 lectures, although the maths department can't organise a piss-up in a brewery and so didn't tell us about the lecture yesterday, so, to summarise, have only been to 2. Either way, I still don't know what an algebraic curve is. I feel this is an error.

I never thought Riemann Surfaces would be so appealing…
