Week 52: There And Back Again

Saturday (04/07/2015):
Lazy Day.
Lent Hannah laptop on and off.

Sunday:
Lazy Day.
Played EDH with Kermit.

Monday:
Bought boxes, for storage / shipping.
Tacos in the loft, with Meg, Leo, Kermit, Owen, Dayle, Matt, Tim, and Maddie.

Tuesday:
Took Kermit to draft. Went 2-0-1, a good way to end Australian MtG for the year.

Wednesday:
JP's with Ed and Mel.
Commander with Ed.
Pathfinder. Cavalier and Axebeak too diplomatic by far for Ed's scenario.
Commander with Callum and James.

Thursday:
Commenced packing.
Raramen with Jonathan, Cameron, Em, James, Meg, Morgan, Mikayla, Bec, and Issy. A very pleasant send-off.
Quick visit to the house to pick up a vacuum cleaner.

Friday:
Final sweep of the room - all packed and ready.
Handed in keys.
Car packed and handed to Cameron for the year.
Hung around in the Common Room with Rachel, Hannah, Katie, and (briefly) Poppy.
Ed gave me a lift to ship my extra baggage, then on to the airport.
Battled through security and the Australian Border Force, then on the plane for the long flight home!

Thanks to everyone who made my time in Australia so memorable, and so much fun.

See you all in a year!

Week 51: The Long Goodbye

Saturday (27/06/2015):
Lazy Day.

Sunday:
Halls Café with Lydia and Ben.
Gave Lydia a lift to the airport.

Monday:
Went for dumplings with Cassie, Alex, and Sam.
Played cards with Cassie, Alex, and Sam.
Pulp Fiction in the proj.
More cards.

Tuesday:
Breakfast with Cassie, Alex, and Sam.
Saw Cassie off to the airport.
Went to draft. Deck was very fun, possibly deserved better than its 2-2.

Wednesday:
Dinner at a Curry Hut with Morgan, James, Jonathan, and Cameron.
Pub with Morgan, James, Jonathan, and Cameron.

Thursday:
Drove Ryan to the airport.
Prepped for pathfinder.

Friday:
Pathfinder in extremis with James, Cameron, Meg, and Thomas (Bickerton), run by Morgan. Very good fun.
Commander League - end of Season 1. Vorel came out on top, so I won a good prize.
Picked up Hannah at the airport (again) - more good discussion.

Week 50: Double Trouble

Saturday (20/06/2015):

Rescued Ami and Michelle from the wrong bus.

Tuesday:
3140 exam - another very nice exam.
Draft. Went 1-2, good deck, bad luck. Disappointing.

Wednesday:
2024 exam - much better than it had any right to be.
Watched Star Trek: Generations to wind down.
Thank you cake delivery from Emily and Rachel - absolutely delicious.

Thursday:
CM - final decision to call the job a good 'un, barring issues.
Offer received from Monash to return in 2016 - with a scholarship!
Dumplings with Ed and Mel, as a proto-send-off.
Bowling with Ed, Mel and Chris - very good fun.

Friday:
Commander League - quite fun, but very short.
Picked up Hannah at the airport - good discussion to be had on the return journey.

Michelle's 19th birthday party. Good fun.
Re-O Week planning meeting.

Lunch with Lydia, very nice.
Draft. Went 0-3, absolute disaster. Still quite fun.

Lent my car to Emily to drive Katie and Hannah to the airport (with Rachel navigating).
Helped Bec deal with a mouse in her room.
Toast Supper.

2081 exam - could only have been nicer if they'd slipped cash in the script.
Pathfinder by Cameron - Ranger discovers that Obscuring Mist does not help his aim.

Friday:
No visit to CM - new tactic.
Commander League - another fun evening, combo-ing off through both mono-blue players.
