Does what happens in the Facebook stay in the Facebook?

  1. Hmm, thats worth thinking about, thanks mate. The problem is that so much of student life now revolves around it. There needs to be some kind of alternative, i dont really know what that could be at the moment.

  2. Once you leave, you really don’t miss it. I consider it a process of people warming to the idea of being watched and watching others. Even on the social level I find it irritating how people get so upset because they abuse the omniscience facebook provides and find things they really didn’t want to know.

  3. In response to Mr Ramshaw’s comment (and working from his view that there must be an alternative), the medium we are currently using is a viable alternative – warwick blogs. It allows for a degree of the innane social practices encouraged by Facebook (stupid comments, detailed descriptions of one’s dull activities) but through its entry-based structure is also geared towards more improving pursuits – reasonable discussions on topical subjects of interest.

The primary purpose of this blog is to syndicate information that is largely excluded from, or spun by, the increasingly consolidated corporate media.

I believe the “War on Terror” is a synthetic construct. It is part of a long term agenda of the political/corporate elites to aggressively consolidate global control. “War on Drugs” deja-vu.

I support a new criminal investigation into the events of 9/11. The previous investigation avoided hundreds of known pieces of evidence contradicting the government’s account – for example, the fact that the head of Pakistani intelligence funded the alleged lead hijacker, and the fact that World Trade Center Building 7 collapsed at 5.20 pm in the exact manner of a controlled demolition.
