I am a Professor of Law at the University of Warwick, School of Law in the UK. I research and write in the are of comparative criminal justice. Much of my work is underpinned by my own large scale empirical studies, conducted using qualitative methods such as direct observation. I have published across a broad spectrum of areas, from the organisation and practices of criminal defence lawyers, to the investigation and prosecution of crime in France and miscarriages of justice in England and Wales.

You can read some of my publications through the Warwick Working Papers, published on SSRN http://papers.ssrn.com/sol3/results.cfm?RequestTimeout=50000000

More information about my research and a full list of publications can be found on my Law School webpage http://www2.warwick.ac.uk/fac/soc/law/staff/academic/hodgson
