Match 9 – 26th January 2005: Jack Flash v John's Bitches
Revenge is Sweet
With regulars John and Piers back in the side for this encounter, and buoyed by the success of fending off Inter Yamam's challenge for 7th, Jack Flash were confident going into the game. Hard work still had to be put in, however, Dave was recalled after his defensive efforts in the previous game, and Mark returned. Piers, John, Ed and Rich came back into the side after various amounts of time off. Ed, carrying an injury took position in goal. The game started quickly for Jack Flash, with Mark ignoring his defensive orders and dashing forward with John and Piers to create the first chance of the game. The first half ended goalless with John's Bitches looking most likely to score, but Piers coming closest to actually getting on the scoresheet, with a lob, which eluded the goalkeeper, but unfortunately creeping over too. The second half began with Mark suggesting he play upfront with 3 back, reverting to last year's tactics, some interesting chances were created but no goals were forthcoming. It was Mark who broke the deadlock midway through the second half with a one on one, which took a fortunate bounce off the keeper and creeped over the Bitches' goalline. A goal against the run of play, seemed to startle John's Bitches a little, certainly their defence was at fault for the second goal. The defence looking like statues, Piers knocked a quality through ball from a kick-in, finding Rich, who rounded the keeper and tapped the ball in at the far post. Throughout the game Jack Flash's defence was organised and effective reducing John's Bitches to long shots which were less likely to test Ed in goal. Jumping up to 5th in League D, a plate finish is looking likely for Green's men.

Match 8 – 21st January 2005: Inter Yamam v Jack Flash
Recruits Star in Tarkett Stalemate
Jack Flash came through spectacularly in this match after recruiting two players. Two short of a full team, Jack Flash scoured the Tarkett pitch for available talent, coming up with a goalkeeper and an outfield player. The match was a tale of missed chances (from both sides) and some brilliant defending from Rob and Dave in the Flash defence to keep out the seven-man Inter Yamam. Full of apprehension going into the match, after learning the team would be playing against a Wolves academy player, Jack Flash still managed to keep Inter out, with unrivalled determination from Dave, Rob and recruit Chris. Mark showed some initiative in his attacking play, going back to last year's tactic, of 3 back 1 up, where Mark would attempt to latch onto balls played into feet and spin off the defence. This game was a showcase for Mark's skill in this field, pulling of a Pele turn, he dashed around the near side of a defender after knocking the ball round the far side, only to see his 15 yard drive poked away at the near post. Special praise goes out to the recruited goalkeeper, who made some spectacular saves to keep Jack Flash in the game. Inter's keeper too pulled off some brilliant one-on-one saves to keep Mark from adding to his season's tally. As goalless draws go, this was no bore.

Match 7 – 12th January 2005: John's Bitches v Jack Flash
Bitchslapped by John on the Windy Astros
Taking place in cold conditions, heightened by terrible cross-winds, this game wasn't going to be easy for either side. Wisdom IT keeper Andy and striker Danny turned out for this late morning encounter. Jack Flash started the best against a resilient Bitches defence with Ed Green turning well on the ball and slotting it away for an early advantage. Soon, however, JB had equalised. It took a belting finish from Mark to restore the advantage to Jack Flash, running on to a cross, which took a deflection from John, the striker hit the bouncing ball at pace, sending it flying into the net. This was to be the last goal Jack Flash scored, after the interval John's bitches came back with an equaliser and finally an Own Goal from Ed Green sealed the tie, sending Jack Flash down to 7th. Most notable chances were Mark's effort which hit the post, only for him to send the ball back into the other upright. The Bitches goalkeeper had to make a spectacular save late on as a great flick on from Ed Green was struck sweetly towards the top corner by Piers. A good performance by Andy kept Jack Flash in the game until the end of the second twenty.

Match 6 – 2nd December 2004: Jack Flash v Isoc United
I-socked a Killer Punch
In this close encounter, it was the rapid counter attacking of 4th place Isoc United which undid the Jack Flash defence. The Flash began well, taking the lead early on, but some poor marking was punished with some swift, flowing moves from the Isoc boys. Ending the year on a low, the team remain optimistic about their chances of reaching the plate.

Cup Match Round 1 – 1st December 2004: Jack Flash v The Five Bellies
Don't Judge a Team By Their Name
A disappointing result here, Jack Flash seriously underestimating the capabilities of the opposition from their name and league position. A hard fought game ended in a loss for the Flash, with only Piers getting on the scoresheet.
