atomic allstars off to a winning start
the match today ended with my atomic allstar team beating the phd side, Steaua ButylEster 5–0. tight and tough match, harder than the scoreline suggests, but the vast majority of shots were for allstars, and i finally got a clean sheet!

Traditionally, the team who won the first game played in the competition have gone on to win the league as the Sugar Daddys (my undergrad team) did in 2001 and 2002, and Chi Shi last season.
Strange phenomena but you've got history on your side!

good news then, other than history not really helping some teams. still could be a good league this year, yesterdays opposition were better than most teams last year

Thanks! We don't think we did too badly – thought we were unlucky not to nick a couple of goals, but certainly the better team won. With some more practice and the full strength side playing (Dave…)..who knows?
