About me

About me

Name
Ian Casswell
Dept
Staff: Education Studies

I joined the University in September 2010 after teaching at a new Academy in Croydon, South London. At Warwick I work with PGCE and GTP students as well as participants on Teach First.

Prior to working in Croydon I helped launch Teach For Australia (based on Teach First) in Melbourne in 2009, and have worked with beginner teachers in a range of contexts both with universities and in schools since I first qualified.

In addition to teacher training I am interested in social innovation – how we can construct creative solutions to the pressing needs of society. This follows on from my time at the Young Foundation – who’s preceeding organisation founded the Open University.
