On a randomly related note, I once saw a dance about it by a group of school boys at Stages95. Man that was weird.

The photo got me into a discussion with a certain fellow m’lad who’s an avid Manchester United fan because I said “I didn’t realise they used to wear black and white” , I know it sounds silly now but he soon put me right. He started singing songs from the days when he used to go and watch them play, songs which I’d never heard before. I remember him pleading with me to let him go and watch them at Old Trafford and then finally giving in to him when he was only 13 years old. The first time he went by himself and I remember dropping him of at the end of the road and watching him disappear into a heaving throng of supporters who seemed to take up the whole road as far as the eye could see and being worried sick. Last night he told me that as they walked along the road they were singing:-
“All the lads and lasses with smiles on their faces walking down the Warwick Road to see Matt Busby’s aces.” which is a lot more jolly than this rather caustic one which was apparently sung to the tune of “You’ll never walk alone” when they were playing Liverpool:-
“Sign on, sign on, You know you’ll never get a job.”
It made me realise that he was inhabiting a different world to us on those days when we dropped him off. He absolutely loved it and I think it was an amazing experience for him.

I would like to say I am a man Utd fan and i was born on feb 5th 1992. This is one day before the Munich Air disaster tributes. My father, every year, goes with my grandad to pay his respects to those that died including the great, Duncan Edwards and co.
Also, in a completely unrelated topic, manchester united fans are the best for making songs. This is my favourite.
Park!Park!Wherever you will be,
You ate dogs in your home country,
But it could have been worse.
You could have been a scouse,
Eating rats in your council house.
LOL megga lol
