Options for 1st Year Modules
I was wondering what everyone thought of the fact that at present, First Years can only choose either 'Gender, Class and Empire' or 'Social Welfare in Britain' from the First Year Sociology lists.
I realise this is an improvement on previous years, but we have the full range of History options, so why can't this be so in Sociology? We study 'History and Sociology' after all, not 'History and Historical Sociology'.

I found that gender class and empire was a really useful course which has been relevant for all three years I've been here for both history and sociology modules. Its nice having more choice sometimes, but at least the modules we are forced to take for sociology are useful!
