I’m very jealous of you Europeans. I can drive 3000 miles and still find myself in the same country (though, admittedly, the deep South does seem very foreign at times compared to my Pacific Northwest), and you can just hop on over to a different country with little effort.
According to Google Maps, you could drive from Warwick to Calais in about 4 hours and 48 minutes, about the same amount of time it takes me to drive north far enough to dip my toes in Canadian soil. Of course, driving to Canada isn’t much more exciting that driving between states. It takes about 2 seconds to get used to the different currency and the metric speed limit signs…
In fact, I actually did drive up there a couple of weeks ago and straddle the border, just for giggles. Maybe something to write about in my own God forsaken blog…

There there, I’m not sure God is computer literate, so none of us are particularly well set that way.
As for living in Europe, well, it’s great but from England it is fairly expensive, just in having to get off the island. A lot of money (not mine, I might add, I don’t have any) (...I went with my parents…) (...so much for Paris being romantic…) went into our trip to Paris and it’s not like we all just pop out of the country for a weekend here and there. But over all, I agree: Europe is a great place to live if you wish to be any sort of cosmopolite, and if you like hearing different languages (I fell in love with French).
When I lived in Munich – now, that was awesome in terms of travel. Drive for a couple of hours or more, you’re in Austria/Switzerland/France/Italy/Czech (although I never went to czech… :( ) Now that was well placed. Go live in Munich, Justin. That’s the place for you.
