Leadership styles
"A too democratic one doesn't help sometimes."(lavinia's blog)
According to the statement, I want to use this diary to talk about four kinds of leadership styles including vision-based, coaching, collaborative and democratic model.
1. The vision-based leadership style. The Leader should have a shared vision and a clear indication of the direction to help the team members toward a common dream. In order to use this style of leadership effectively, the leader needs a good understanding of others, the ability to feel. He must be able to read the minds of players, to understand the feelings of team members and judge whether he has the same prospects with the vision.
2. The coaching leadership style. The Leaders and team members are not talking about work but personal circumstances, this open approach allows leaders and members can communicate with each other. The method can give players the opportunity to enable them towards their goal and bring a great team loyalty and strong sense of responsibility.
3. The collaborative leadership style. This style is through the exchanges between team members to create a harmonious atmosphere in the team. Attention to emotional investment, even under pressure, it can be more harmonious to cooperate. Disadvantage of this approach is to focus too much praise, so that everyone feels good, team conflicts and contradictions are covered up and poor performances of the employees are tolerated by the team.
4.The democratic leadership style. The leaders are good at listening to the views of others, considering the points of others in decision-making. The leaders can let the team members participate in the discussion with enthusiasm and let them feel important. This approach does not apply in a crisis situation, or in the need of expert¡¯s opinion.
The best leadership should be one or more of the leadership can be proficient. Mastering all the skills can help the leaders achieve the biggest success.
