CKO – the key to knowledge management in the company

Following the enterprise become into a learning organization, CKO begin to show in the top leadership which is responsible for enterprise knowledge management strategy operation. Many enterprises try to hire CKO to carry out KM project, the biggest problem currently is how to recognize and use the knowledge within the enterprise. CKO can set up and re-use of business process knowledge and make effective knowledge management to contribute to the success of enterprises. What is CKO? CKO is responsible for promoting knowledge transfer and organizational learning, there are many different titles - CKO, CIO (Chief Information Officer), CLO (Chief Learning Officer) and CCO (Chief Collaboration Officer) currently, and these functions are no clear distinctions which are committed to integrate business intelligence resources to support corporate business objectives. CKO has two main functions: design enterprise information portals and other IT knowledge base structure and build a knowledge sharing culture. Value CKO stressed the value of existing knowledge management to the business model to expand and become a corporate strategy. Former BP knowledge director Kent Greenes, built a knowledge management process and achieved remarkable results which saved 0.26 billion U.S. dollars in 1998. CKO can prove their value of existence through saving money and promoting the productivity. CKO creates the dialogue and manages the knowledge asset CKO are designers and architects. They set up a comprehensive knowledge-sharing system to the entire enterprise. They integrate the enterprise knowledge management strategy into the enterprise daily work. They create the learning centers, the establishment of a rest room, electronic work space for staff exchanges, sharing of ideas. CKO concerns for creating technical basis in order to encourage personal development and sharing within the enterprise. CKO also develop strategies to help team-based enterprise's internal communication and mutual learning.
