London 2012 Olympic & Paralympic Tender – This is the big one!

Writing about web page

London 2012 Olympic & Paralympic Tender | Network Utilities Industry Day | 15 August 2007

This is the big one! Surely one of our West Midlands companies should be able to fulfill this kind of project. I notice our ODA friends seem to be confused about the reply by date - should it be Sunday 5th, Wednesday 8th August?

The Olympic Delivery Authority (ODA) has recently announced a Network Utilities industry day - 15 August 2007. Companies with an interest in individual or multi utility design and/or build of electrical, gas, water and telecommunication networks within the utilities industry are invited to attend an industry day on 15 August 2007. The event is designed to provide further information with respect to the scope, design, programme and key features on this upcoming procurement process. A maximum of 100 people will be invited to attend, with a maximum of three attendees from each company. Please email by 5pm on Wednesday, 5 August 2007 to register your interest in attending.

Are you Ready part 3

OK back the trilogy of Are You Ready films. Had a look at the last part. Here it is. Interesting theory, that we are being kept in the dark about pole shift - and actually being deliberately distracted with explanations about mankind's carbon emissions!

Very Short Deadline on Olympic Tender

Very Short Deadline on London 2012 Tender

As you can imagine, the pressure is on to award contracts to make sure the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games are delivered on time. But some contract notices have had a very short notice. Just 4 days for a recent "Preliminary Pile Testing" contract! This didn't go un-noticed by the James Watkins, Executive Director at the West Midlands Business Council. If you missed out, please go to whereyou can contact James, and make sure that your interest is properly registered with the Olympic Delivery Authority.

London 2012 Olympic & Paralympic | Public Affairs Consultancy

London 2012 Olympic & Paralympic | Public Affairs Consultancy |  Partnership

Here is one of the latest 2012 business opportunities. Notice the focus on partnership. This is a good example of the kind of opportunity we discuss at the Prepare for 2012 workshops in the West Midlands. If a small to medium enterprise company cannot fulfill the entire requirements of a contract, they can strengthen their bid, and chances of winning, by collaborating with other companies. The Ready for Business site and the WMCCM marketplace provides the facilities to easily do this.

The London 2012 Organising Committee of the Olympic Games and Paralympic Games (LOCOG) and the Olympic Delivery Authority (ODA) invite expressions of interest regarding the provision of Public Affairs consultancy services to both organisations.

Both organisations are looking to appoint a company to provide a wide range of public affairs support to communicate progress on the Olympic Games and Paralympic Games to a wide range of stakeholders including MPs, Local Government, Members of the London Assembly, Scottish Parliament, Welsh Assembly and Northern Irish Assembly.

We are particularly keen to receive applications from a wide range of companies who could either individually or through partnership offer the full range we require, and would welcome interest from across the United Kingdom.

Further details of the tender can be found at, together with instructions on how to respond. Just sign-in (or register for free) and then click on Tenders.

Ready for Pole Shift

Writing about web page

I was just checking to see if my Ready For Business site was still the first entry in Google if you search for "ready 2012", and I found this interesting little movie. If this is true, we might not see the Olympics in 2012!

London 2012 Tenders | Equality and Diversity procurement evaluators

Spotted this opportunity - ideal for a West Midlands company in this niche. It was issued with a typically short notice period, soI'm including it here just in case you missed it on our Ready for Business site, or the london 2012 site.

The Olympic Delivery Authority (ODA) invites expressions of interest for the procurement of Equality and Diversity evaluators.

In support of its Equality and Inclusion team, the ODA are seeking tender submissions from organisations capable of providing expert resources to evaluate equality, diversity and inclusion requirements of Pre-qualification Questionnaires (PQQ) and tender submissions.

The deadline for the receipt of expressions of interest and completed PQQ & ITT submissions is 17:00 on Friday 6 July 2007.

For full details see the documentation available on the eTendering section of the London 2012 website at

Interested bidders may only express interest via the eTendering section of the London 2012 website at Expressions sent by any other means will not be accepted. Those expressing an interest must complete a pre-qualification questionnaire (PQQ) and are advised to submit expressions of interest (EOI) at the earliest opportunity in order to allow sufficient time for completion of the PQQ.
