Day 11
Here it is, the end of the holiday, going back to the UK tomorrow (:( :() but it's been a really good week and it'll be nice to get back and see my friends (though the earliest i'm gonna see one is next weekend :() Took my brother to the airport earlier, both relieving and depressing (he's a pain in the backside but he's my brother) and spent the afternoon installing bits into dad's computer (i feel thats a good payment for a 2 week free holiday!).
Anyway gotta go as the internet is waning but i'll speak to you all soon big hugs

Day 9
Yes i know it's my boyfriend thank you to everyone that pointed it out! I'm in Luang Prabang now (i think) and it's extremely hot, which is very good indeed :) Took 7 hours in the car to get here yesterday but it was worth it for the mobile reception, computers and access to a TV which i was so desperately craving!
Went out cycling this morning which was fun, especially as the bike had no brakes (and only 1 gear so hills were fun in both directions!!) and then climbed up some bitch-ass mountain to look at a monument (which in itself was highly uninteresting but the view was very good). Have had curry for tea today and steak for dinner yesterday so i'm looking sightly less skeletal than when we got here (and i'd had nothing to eat for 2 days, well nothing nice anyway).
Were going to go down the river back to Vientiane by boat tomorrow but the rivers too low :(
Anyway have spent 100,000,000 kip (10p) on the internet so had better go.

Day 7
Bonjour mon petits amis,
Have arrived at the swanko de poschest hotel in the plane of jars, $40 a night but it's all worth it! Got woken up at 12pm last night by the biggest thunderstorm EVER, which proceeded to kill all the power then spray water in my face through the window. Fortunately Aimee was at hand to provide comforting hugs or else i'd have been very scared indeed.
Woke up today to find the entire downstairs of the house flooded an it was still raining but we set off on our long journey anyway and it did clear up eventually and so the journey was quite pleasant. Am totally knackered now and am going to bed soon I think but I miss you all very much and look forward to getting back to uni (though not getting back home, thats gonna suck).

Day 5
Hello all,
Have hada very non-descript day today, just lazing around not doing much. Played alot of pool at some random bar in town and was given advert for "Special Offer: Crickets & Larvae 15000kip" which is about time as all i've had so far is curry, pizza, steak, chips and bacon/egg sandwiches :d
Went for a 5 hour walk around Vientien yesterday, became very burned but have not achieved the machismo tan I am aiming for! Aside from that not alot of news, going travelling somewhere tomorrow so may die, but I'll keep you posted.

Day 2 or 3 or whatever it is, I forget!
Hey everyone, i've arrived in Laos safely and after a very blurry day yesterday where i was half asleep the whole time am now able to write an entry from the local internet cafe (because Dad's broadband is screwed). Laos is actually a really nice place, very warm and full of nice people. Dads' house is as amazing as I thought it would be, with my own air conditioned room and everything. He also has 2 servant girls who ferry me drinks and do my washing awesome!
Went out last night for steak and chips for dinner (having had bacon & eggs & baguette for lunch) so i'm not exactly living the oriental dream but i don't care! Going into town with my brother later, which scares me rather alot a he's always trying to get me to do stuff but it's not so bad as this evening where Song (dad's wifes)'s nephew is taking us out to a "Disco", theres somethign about the word disco that worries me alot but there we go :)

Day 1 Continuted…
6000 miles later and here I am in the Bankok airport departures lounge, just spent 250 Bahd (who knows how much that is) on this internet connection so yous all had better appreciate it!
The flight was, well, long, had a free seat next to me which was nice and Thai airlines are very good about free drinks and lots of meals and stuff (yey). Got slightly infuriated by the infuriating infuriator who insisted on standing RIGHT IN FRONT OF THE PROJECTION SCREEN AGHHHH, but it's ok, I shot him. Got a bit of sleep (at 5pm UK time… hardcore) then attempted to read, gave up, played GTA, gave up. Sat there thinking… but YEY i'm here now, only another SEVERAL HOURS of flights left and i'll be in laos… woooo…
Still haven;t been arrested cos of my copious lemsip stash, but i'm sure the time is near, nor have i been questioned about my motives for having brasso in my hand luggage, i blame it all on dad. Anyway not much else to say and I have to check facebook before my time runs out… comment on this entry damn you all… comment!!!

Day 1
Mmmm Heathrow Terminal 3 is so pretty, or not, thanks to the wonder that is T-mobiles RipOff 'n' Go service I am able to access the internet wirelessly, which is fun. So, what's happened so far today?
Got up at 5:30 to the sound of exceedinly religiouso singing from my radio… an interesting start. Proceeded to Stansted Airport bus station which, i tell you now, is THE mingingest place, in the world, ever. Wiated there for 30 minutes then got on the bus to heathrow. Managed to pick the seat with a big spike sticking into my back and a very loudly snoring man behind me.
Listened to Wicked and Avenue Q on the way.
Got to heathrow on time (Wooo) and was checked in and through baggage control within around 20 minutes. Interestingly the reliduculous array of drugs, pressurised cans, electrical impliments and pointy things in my bad didn't seem to worry the X-ray guys too much, perhaps a sign that they simply dont watch the x-ray machines and just pull over anyone who happens to look scary.
Went to the lounge to find somewhere to eat, as yet haven't found anywhere but i only give myself a maximum of 5 minutes wandering around like a loon before i sit down and do something that makes me look clever instead. Also have to find a book, was interested by the sex books section in the travel bookshop, surely not a HUGE amount of use on a plane (one can only adopt so many positions in the loo).
Anyway, must off and find some food. You may hear from me again soon (it's very boring)
