RELATIONSHIPS

Relationships within an organization represent a priceless value that managers have to protect and promote. In order to promote an environment where employees can feel appreciated and respected, managers should promote activities such as, face to face meeting, doing so it is easier for them to understand the employees needs and, if necessary help them for overcoming their problem. In this environment, a culture of sharing knowledge and information will be automatically supported.

step by step

Management is primarly is an active role, for this reason management must be learned by practice and direct participation. Also Excellence managers should ask themselves if they have understood who their customer are and, which are the customer exaptation in order to meet or even better to exceed their expactations.the learn process have to start from the chairm manager and from him reach each component of the organization

first PMA

I have started with my first PMA, it is difficult to explain my feeling because I have never done exam like this before. Even though I feel a bit confused, I am so happy because I have the chance to focus my PMA on what I like more to study. In Paul words: it is an opportunity for us to develop new skills for our future job.

Particularly, today I came across of many interesting articles, and what I have learned is that:

People needs to be understood and we should offer them an environment that allows the flow of ideas, time for reflection and sense of trust. This, will let them to feel free for feeding their creativity. So, we can assume that intangible resources, such as knowledge, are more likely to improve the organisation performance, rather than the tangible one. For this reason, managers must promote learning if they want that their company will excel in the market place

THE POWER OF CBE

We have finished our first module and to be honest I have learned more than I have never thought. It is not only just in terms of information that we have gained .It is all about understanding the meaning and the importance of learning how to learn. Thus, for me this first module was a short trip in this new world.

You might ask me:” What have you discovered?”

Well, considering the intensity of our lesson, it is impossible to write down everything. Condensing in a few sentences I could say as follow.

First of all, I have been impressed by the power of team working, that for me was priceless. We have learned to appreciate others point of view, the vital importance of cooperation and sharing ideas for achieving our common goal in a really amazing environment that, mainly thanks to Paul, we have been able to build.

PARATICALLY SPEAKING WE WERE PUTTING IN PRACTICE WHAT WE WERE STUDIYNG.

IN OTHER WORDS, WE HAVE APPLIED AN EXCELLENCE MODEL, WITHOUT KNOWING THAT (LITTLE JOHN). THANKS PAUL, THANKS GUYS, THANK GROUP A3!!!!!!

TRANSFORMATION

DEMING SAID THAT THE FIRST STEP IS TRANSFORMATION AND IT COMES FROM UNDERSTANDING OF THE SYSTEM OF PROFOUND KNOWLEDGE. THE INDIVIDUAL, ONCE TRANSFORMED, WILL BE A GOOD LISTENER, CONTINUALLY WILL TEACH OTHER PEOPLE AND WILL HELP THEM TO PULL AWAY FROM THEIR CURRENT PRACTICE AND MOVE INTO NEW PHILOSOPHY.

THESE WORDS ARE JUST AMAZING, BUT WHY WE DO NOT UNDERSTAND THESE SIMPLE WORDS?

WE NEED TO CHANGE OUR THINKING STYLE AND UNDERSTAND THE IMPORTANCE OF COOPERATION, SHARING KNOWLEDGE AND INFORMATION. ONLY DOING SO WE CAN START TOWARD THE JOURNEY OF EXCELLENCE.

MEETING? WHY???

Meeting. What is it? It is not a place where you waste your time discussing without finding any solution. Instead, it is a place where you and other people make decisions. Today I have experienced the importance of meetings and I have discovered that I have many areas of improvements. This, make me feel excited about my need to start consciously and naturally to critically analyse myself and deeply understand what I have done in a good way and what I have to improve. THANK YOU CBE

Do we really need an excellence model?

How can we understand the meaning of the different excellence models, if we do not reflect about the period and the place in the world where they have been developed ? We need to understand the socioeconomics context in order to be able to look at the whole picture. If we know that there are many differences between people, countries, governments and rules around the world, it is easier to understand why in one model it has been outlined one particular aspect instead of another one.

Moreover, I was wondering, if we really need to implement in our company a particular excellence for bringing improvement in it and sustaining them. I just do not have the answer for this question, but what I believe is that people feel continuously the need of improvement inside themselves and, if we look at the collective wellbeing instead of focusing on results, as Deming said, the level of defaults in social and financial terms will be ZERO.

WHAT DO YOU THINK

IDEAS: SUCH A POWERFUL "INVENTION

George Bernard Shaw:

If you have an apple and I have an apple and we exchange apples then you and I will still each have one apple. But if you have an idea and I have an idea and we exchange these ideas, then each of us will have two ideas.

SHARE YOU IDEA AND LEARN

I am on the way of my journey toward excellence (transformation) and I am so happy. I have learned a lot just in a few day and it is impossible writing down everything. However, I believe that my classmate can clearly understand me.

During these days my groupmates and me, are facing the first challenge PRESENTATION. We have to produce our own presentation for the next week and what I find incredible worthy are the efforts for helping each other, working as a team and achieving our common goal.

Well guys! I want to share with you some of my finds about EFQM, DEMING (nice guy) and my Friend Malcolm Baldrige.

These “excellence models” are based on the common idea that we need to improve continuously, if we want to build a long-term business. In fact, they are focused on the performance of the whole organization, putting as focal point PEOPLE, KNOWLEDGE LEADERSHIPS and SUBSTANABLE DEVELOPMENT. However, they also show differences, for example, Deming approach is more philosophical and theoretical than Baldrige. On the other hand, Baldrige is more focused on results. We can say that they have the same aim but they achieve it just in different ways. Tomorrow I will write about EFQM

WHICH IS THE SOUND OF ONE HAND THAT CLAP??

We have grown up in climate of competition, and we have thought that competition will solve our problems. It would be better if everyone would work together as a system with the aim of everyone win. We need COOPERATION and TRANSFORMATION…..(Deming). I believe that we should apply this theory as lifestyle, maybe our world could be a better place. Together Everyone Achieve More.
