About Exchanges

This blog is focused on developments concerning the scholar-led, open access publication – Exchanges: The Interdisciplinary Research Journal. Posts in this blog are made by the Managing Editor-in-Chief, Dr Gareth J Johnson, and often concern new publications or calls for papers. They also periodically highlight the wider scholarly contribution of the journal to academic development and the scholarly publication field. The companion Exchanges Discourse podcast series compliments the blog and the journal itself.

The journal has been based at and published online by the University of Warwick’s internationally renowned Institute of Advanced Study since 2013. The title has core missions to enable a quality assured interdisciplinary discourse, champion the authorial development of early career scholars and to increase the professional visibility of all contributors.

Dr Johnson frequently runs training and contributes to professional events on matters relating to the journal, authorial development, academic writing and open access scholarly communication.
