LE – we assessed our leader today.
I found today as a good practice to assess performance of leaders and team members. I imagined myself in a company being a manager and I really would like to implement very often the possibility to assess my behaviour and how I am leading the group to accomplish all targets from my team members. This practice is currently doing mostly by human resources department. Nevertheless, my aim is to do it more often. As a first example of how to implement this purpose is to have a pot where the members of my team might deposit their opinions. Following this, I will do the same, written down my opinion of each other. Afterwards, we would have a meeting where everyone will be able to explain what happened according his or her suggestion. I do not know whether or not, I might damage the job environment, rather than improve it. In this way, my intention will be to understand each team member, their behaviours, how their performance, their problems and why sometimes they are not providing 100 % of their capability. According to the exercise today, our leader listened some comments, which I might say, he would have thought by himself. Perhaps, I am thinking very positive and in the majority of the cases, employees do not take care for what managers think about them, however, using this way, they at least might have the opportunity to express more confidently what is not running very well because of I am acting as blind person who thought that everything is fair
